About Us

Who are we?

Council for Christian Nurture are a sector council of the Anglican Diocese of Auckland. We aim to nurture and educate those involved in ministry through resourcing and training. The Council is made up of volunteer members both lay and clergy and has two staff members.

What do we do?

We hold workshops throughout the year that are led by our fieldworker Rochelle Grace. These workshops are based around the seasons of the church and are also run on specific topics such as children's ministry or preaching and teaching. To see what events we have coming up see our events page.

We work alongside Anglican Youth Minstries to stock the Resource Centre with useful tools for education and ministry that are free of charge. Find out more about the resource centre here.

Our fieldworker Rochelle Grace spends time visiting parishes and encouraging them in creative worship.

As of 2010 Council for Christian Nurture is a part of the Anglican Adventure Ministries camps for children and junior youth. These camps are held three times a year out at Carey Park in Henderson Valley. To find out about the next camp see our childrens page.

As a Council we are open to new ideas and projects,  let us know your thoughts!
